BRAG MAT
Fishing for the last time as Team Windybanks we were quietly optimistic about the Lake Windamere Golden Classic invitational tournament based on our performance at the AYC two weeks before. With a blown fuel pump and limited fishing time, we still had huge success at the AYC with the new Vex Performance Lures (Bread N’ Butter 35s).
We managed to pull 16 fish along with a few dropped fish. Our best 10 going 5614mm placing us at 8th for the Comp overall leaving only 161mm from the winner. With a few 60cm models and the largest pushing 611mm we thought that we might be in contention for the biggest fish. Wasn’t to be with only a few mm difference.
The Vex blades fitted with the Vex assists proved to be the go to lure hooking the far majority of our bag. These will, along with the soon to arrive weedless skirted bass jigs, be available to purchase very shortly. Stay tuned to hear when we launch them to the market.
It was a great weekend and I would like to thank Windybanks team for their fantastic support over the past three years. It has been a very successful journey. Also I would like to thank the new managers and operators of the Golden Classic and congratulate the place getters.
